How to report a missed video or a mistaken block
If ShortBlocker blocked something it shouldn’t have, tap Wrong? on the notice that appears, then follow the report page that opens. If a short video wasn’t blocked, add ShortBlocker’s Report a page button to your quick settings once, then tap it while the video is on screen. Nothing is sent until you tap Send report.
Updated 16 October 2026. For ShortBlocker 1.1.1 on Android 8 or later.

A video was blocked by mistake
Use this when ShortBlocker stepped you out of, or covered, something that wasn’t a short video, such as a normal video or a message.
- When ShortBlocker blocks a video it shows a notice near the bottom of the screen that says Short videos blocked by ShortBlocker, with Wrong? beside it. The notice stays for about four seconds, so tap it straight away.
- Tap Wrong?. ShortBlocker opens its report page, titled Blocked by mistake, for that exact screen.
- Read the top of the page. It says what ShortBlocker took the screen for, for example “a YouTube Short” or “an Instagram Reel”. Beneath it, your screenshot sits beside the plain outline that would be sent.
- Add a note if it helps, for example “this was a normal video”. The note is optional.
- Tap Send report. ShortBlocker shows Report sent and a report ID.
A short video wasn’t blocked
A video that wasn’t blocked has no notice to tap, so you report it from Android’s quick settings instead. Add the button once, then use it whenever you need to.
Step 1: add the Report a page button (once)
- Open ShortBlocker and tap the Settings cog at the top right of the home screen.
- Under Help, tap Report a screen. Its description says “Not blocked, or blocked by mistake”. The page that opens is titled Report a video that wasn’t blocked.
- On Android 13 or later, tap Add it for me and confirm in Android’s prompt. The page says Added to your panel, or It’s already in your panel if you did this before. Then you are done.
- On earlier versions of Android, or if the page says Not added or Couldn’t add it, add it by hand. Swipe down twice from the top of the screen to open the full quick settings panel.
- Tap the pencil. On Samsung phones it is + or Edit buttons.
- Drag the flag button called Short Blocker into the panel, then tap Done. Under its name it usually says Report a page.
The button needs ShortBlocker’s accessibility access to be on, the same access that does the blocking. If it is off, tapping the button opens ShortBlocker so you can switch it on. The setup guide shows where it is on each phone.
Step 2: report the page
- Open the video that wasn’t blocked in YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or Snapchat, and leave it on screen.
- Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the quick settings.
- Tap Short Blocker (Report a page). The panel closes, ShortBlocker reads the screen underneath and opens a report page titled Something wasn’t blocked. This takes a moment.
- Add a note if it helps, for example “a Short opened from search”. The note is optional.
- Tap Send report. ShortBlocker shows Report sent and a report ID.
If the page shows a notice instead
- Blocking was paused. Resume blocking, reopen the video and report it again.
- The app’s blocking was off. Turn it on from the home screen, reopen the video and report it again.
- Not blocked on purpose. ShortBlocker names the reason, such as comments being open, the video being opened from a message or chat, a post with several photos or videos, a Story, or a regular YouTube video. If it still is a short video, tap Send anyway.
- “Couldn’t read this screen.” Close any pop-ups and try again.
- Nothing opens and a message says it works in supported apps. Open YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or Snapchat and try again.
What is sent, and what is not
Before you send, the report page shows your screen and the outline side by side, and a What’s sent list. Tap Show exact data to see the report word for word. Only the outline is sent: no text, images or video. Your screenshot stays on your phone.
- The outline of the screen, with all text removed.
- The app and its version.
- For a mistaken block, what ShortBlocker did: it went back, or it covered the video.
- Android and ShortBlocker versions, your phone model, which switches are on, and free or Premium.
- Screen size, display and font size settings, and whether the app was upright.
- Your language and region, like nl-NL, and no other personal details.
- Which detection rules were used, and which checks passed for this outline.
- Your note, if you wrote one.
The screenshot is only there so you can recognise the screen. It is taken on Android 11 or later, is kept in memory, and is deleted when you close the report page or after five minutes. A report goes to SNOR LTD over HTTPS and is stored with Cloudflare, which also sees your IP address.
Deleting a report you sent
The report ID and date are saved on your phone. To delete a report, open ShortBlocker’s Settings, tap Privacy policy, find the report under Your sent reports and tap the bin next to it. The report and everything sent with it are removed from SNOR LTD’s storage, and this can’t be undone.

Questions
What is the difference between Wrong? and Report a page?
Wrong? is for a video ShortBlocker blocked that it shouldn’t have. Report a page is for a short video that wasn’t blocked. Both open a report page that shows you what would be sent, and nothing is sent until you tap Send report.
Where is the Report a page button?
It is a quick settings button called Short Blocker, usually with Report a page under its name. Add it from ShortBlocker’s Settings, under Help, Report a screen. On Android 13 or later, tap Add it for me and confirm.
Does a report send my screen or my videos?
No. Only the screen’s outline is sent, with all text removed, and never a screenshot, picture or video. You see exactly what is sent before you tap Send report, and you can delete a sent report afterwards from Settings, Privacy policy.
Why does the report page say blocking was paused or off?
ShortBlocker only reports videos it was set to block. Resume blocking, or switch the app on from the home screen, reopen the video and report it again.
